VibeCodie Privacy Policy
Effective: 1 September 2026
This policy explains how Atmos Lab Pty Ltd handles information in connection with VibeCodie across its Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch experiences.
VibeCodie is in development. This policy describes the current product design and will be updated before public distribution if the released data handling differs.
What VibeCodie does
VibeCodie is a companion control plane for coding agents. A Mac Bridge connects locally to the supported coding-agent service and remains the authority for execution and responses. Companion devices present status and requests that need human judgment.
VibeCodie is designed so that lists, notifications and widgets do not make decisions for you. Decisions take place only in an authenticated detail experience and are revalidated by the Mac Bridge.
Information processed
To present an approval request, VibeCodie may process the command raised by the coding agent, its working directory, requested scope, task and request identifiers, status, timestamps, waiting time and the decision you make. Commands and paths can contain personal, confidential or project information, so you should review them before approving and avoid placing unnecessary secrets in commands or paths.
The app may also process paired-device identity and security material, notification state, app and operating-system version, connectivity state, error codes and correlated event timestamps needed to deliver requests, prevent duplicate decisions, recover state and diagnose failures.
If you contact support, we receive your email address, message and anything you choose to attach. Do not send passwords, access tokens, source code or other information that is not needed for support.
Where processing happens
The Mac Bridge communicates with the coding-agent service on your Mac. OpenAI or coding-agent credentials remain on the Mac and are not placed on companion devices or in CloudKit by VibeCodie.
When cloud-backed pairing and sync are enabled in a distributed build, VibeCodie uses the private CloudKit database associated with your iCloud account for protected synchronization and notification delivery. The product design does not place OpenAI tokens, command bodies, diffs, file paths or agent output into CloudKit as plaintext.
Apple may process device, iCloud, CloudKit and notification information under its own terms and privacy practices. The coding-agent provider processes information sent to its service under the account and settings you use with that provider.
How we use information
We process information to pair your devices, display active and blocked work, deliver approval requests, authenticate and revalidate decisions, prevent duplicate responses, recover interrupted state, provide support, secure the service and diagnose technical problems.
We do not use VibeCodie information for advertising, sell personal information or use it to build cross-app advertising profiles. The current VibeCodie codebase does not include a third-party advertising or analytics SDK.
Notifications and permissions
VibeCodie asks for notification or device permissions only when the related feature needs them. Apple controls delivery timing and may delay, group or suppress notifications according to device state and user settings.
You can change notification permissions in the Settings app. Withdrawing a permission may prevent the related VibeCodie feature from working, but does not remove rights you already have under applicable law.
Sharing and service providers
Information is shared only as needed with Apple for iCloud, CloudKit, notifications and App Store delivery; with the coding-agent provider you choose; and with email, hosting or security providers when you contact us or use this website.
We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights or safety of users, Atmos Lab or others. Providers may process information in countries outside Australia and are expected to protect it consistently with their contracts and applicable law.
Retention and deletion
VibeCodie keeps operational state only for as long as needed to show and recover active or recent work, maintain pairing and decision integrity, provide support, secure the service or meet legal obligations. Release-specific controls and retention behaviour will be documented in the distributed app before public release.
You can stop future notification processing through system settings and stop future synchronization by disconnecting VibeCodie from the relevant service or device when that control is available in the released build. Removing an app does not necessarily delete records held by iCloud or another provider.
To ask what information Atmos Lab holds about you, request access, correction or deletion, or obtain help with an iCloud-related deletion request, email hello@atmoslab.com.au. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law requires it.
Security
VibeCodie uses platform authentication, private Apple storage, device identity, request freshness and Mac-side revalidation as product security boundaries. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and VibeCodie cannot make unsafe commands safe; read the complete request before deciding.
Children
VibeCodie is a professional developer tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect a child's personal information through VibeCodie. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, or to complain to a privacy regulator. These rights are not limited by this policy.
